I have been influenced to explore the concept of ‘play’ as a tool within the design process of my proposal by Jen Chalkley`s presentation during the open lectures in our university. I started to experiment with architectural toys and found out that this is really useful in terms of new ideas and thinking more spatial.
I have created 2 arch toys and few additional models and play with them. To be honest this was really enjoyable experience during lockdown.
The process of playing open my creativity to forms and spatial arrangements. I like the idea of playing and creating almost accidental new ideas. While playing with the toys, I came up with stuff I have never taught of.
But now it is time to move from the toy phase to design phase. I will start testing the ideas to see which method or combination of methods works and I will develop it further in my pop up proposal.
