As the Pop-up and Play Summer Festival has low budget for the pop-up, I start thinking for low-cost design that can be easily assemble and disassemble after the finish of the festival.
As our world moves towards data storage devices and streaming, compact discs are quickly becoming obsolete. To give new life to this receding technology, the proposed pop-up will use CDs as main element. The pop-up structure will be built with scaffolds and the CDs will play the role of the music instrument. The CDs pendants can be played both by the wind and people to create patterns of sound.
